The Little Teashop of Lost and Found
by Trisha Ashley

Alice Rose is a foundling, discovered on the Yorkshire moors above Haworth as a baby. Adopted but then later rejected again by a horrid step-mother, Alice struggles to find a place where she belongs. Only baking – the scent of cinnamon and citrus and the feel of butter and flour between her fingers – brings a comforting sense of home.

So it seems natural that when she finally decides to return to Haworth, Alice turns to baking again, taking over a run-down little teashop and working to set up an afternoon tea emporium.

Luckily she soon makes friends – including a Grecian god-like neighbour – who help her both set up home and try to solve the mystery of who she is. There are one or two last twists in the dark fairytale of Alice’s life to come . . . but can she find her happily ever after?

A Leap of Faith by Trisha Ashley

Sappho Jones stopped counting birthdays when she reached thirty but, even with her hazy grip on mathematics, she realises that she's on the slippery slope to the big four-oh! With the thought suddenly lodged in her mind that she's a mere cat's whisker away from becoming a single eccentric female living in a country cottage in Wales, she has the urge to do something dramatic before it's too late.

The trouble is, as an adventurous woman of a certain age, Sappho's pretty much been there, done that, got the T-shirt. In fact, the only thing she hasn't tried is motherhood. And with sexy potter Nye on hand as a potential daddy - or at least donor - is it time for her to consider the biggest leap of all? It's either that or buy a cat . . .

Trust Me I Lie by Louise Marley

When Milla Graham arrives in the picture-perfect village of Buckley, she tells everyone she’s investigating the murder of her mother who died eighteen years ago. But there’s already one Milla Graham buried in the churchyard and another about to be found dead in the derelict family mansion.

Obviously she’s lying.

Detective Inspector Ben Taylor has no life outside the police force. Even his own colleagues think he’s a boring stick-in-the-mud. But now he’s met Milla and his safe, comfortable life has been turned upside down. She’s crashed his car, emptied his wallet and is about to get him fired.

He knows she’s a liar because she cheerfully told him so.

Unless she’s lying about that too …

Pack Up Your Troubles by Anne Bennett

Maeve Brannigan is only eighteen when she leaves her rural home in County Donegal and moves to Birmingham, where she falls in love with handsome Brendan Hogan. But married life isn’t as idyllic as she’d imagined, and when Maeve falls pregnant with their first child, she soon realises that Brendan isn’t the man she thought he was.

Saddled with a violent husband and with two young’uns needing her protection, Maeve bears her life as best she can. After a particularly vicious attack, she is forced to flee back to Ireland – but her presence is greeted with open hostility by the close-knit catholic community that she was once so eager to escape. Driven away to face her abusive husband, Maeve’s future looks bleak. Will she find the strength to break free and make the prospect of a better life a reality rather than a distant dream?

In Bed With The Duke by Annie Burrows

"Vile seducer of women!"

Of all the accusations Gregory, Duke of Halstead, has ever had leveled at him, this is perhaps the most offensive and the least accurate. But as he has just woken naked in bed with no memory of the night before, next to a beautiful stranger, perhaps it's time to reevaluate!

Innocent Prudence is just as shocked when she awakens! But as these strangers begin to unravel the plot behind the scandalous circumstances, she discovers the delicious consequences of finding herself in bed with…a duke!

Four Sides to Every Story by Valerie-Anne Baglietto

Now if this was a modern day fairy tale, the hero might be a handsome young widower, hiding from the world in his castle and managing to avoid any meaningful romantic entanglements. Unfortunately, Sawyer Ellis would have stepchildren who think they know best, and most of the time it seems as if they do.

The heroine could have recently moved into the wisteria-covered cottage by the strawberry field. Sophie would be a thoroughly independent woman, as well as smart, self-obsessed, vulnerable and vain. She might be about to find out if her heart is made of gold. Sophie would have her doubts, but we’d know better.

It’s obvious to us they’ll need help from a fairy godmother, although she might not be as theatrical or mature as Cinderella’s.

Her name would probably be Lily.

Lily Rose.

And normally she would get things very, very right.

Except this time somehow it would all go very, very wrong.

But the setting is only a small Cheshire village, drowsily nudging Wales. A village known as Fools Castle. And in real life, in the present day, nothing like that could ever happen here.

Could it?

A Daughter's Choice by June Francis

Katie is the apple of her mother’s eye and is being groomed to take over the family business. But when Celia, her natural mother, re-enters her life, her world is turned completely upside down.

Tormented by her divided loyalties, Katie is plagued by a question Celia refuses to answer – who is her real father?

She's certain she's over him, but her heart has other ideas...

Natasha has consigned her wealthy French ex-husband Luc to the past, so she’s horrified when he turns up at her village florist’s shop out of the blue, pleading for help. He never dared to tell his family about the divorce, and when he asks her to come to France and pretend they’re still married for a couple of weeks to please his dying father, she’s not sure she can say no. She certainly isn’t prepared for the warmth of his family’s welcome, or the attraction that’s still simmering between her and Luc.

But it’s just two weeks in a vineyard, no strings attached, right?

Love Me Tender by Anne Bennett

For Kathy O’Malley, life has not been easy with her husband, Barry, out of work and with two children to feed. Then when war breaks out in 1939, many of the local men enlist, including Barry, leaving the women to cope as best they can.

The years that follow are full of hardship: rationing, nightly air raids and endless shifts working at the local munitions factory all take their toll on Kathy who longs to feel the strong arms of her husband around her once more.

When she meets Doug, a handsome American GI, she is drawn immediately drawn to him but determined to honour her marriage vows. But after she receives a telegram informing that her husband is missing, presumed dead, she makes a decision that will have consequences, not just for herself, but for the lives of all those she loves too…

A Mistress for Major Bartlett by Annie Burrows

Major Tom Bartlett is shocked to discover that the angel who nursed his battle wounds is darling of the ton Lady Sarah Latymor. One taste of her threatens both her impeccable reputation and his career!

An honourable man would ask for her hand, but Bartlett is considered an unrepentant rake by polite society – sweet Sarah would be spurned as his mistress and even as his wife.  He demands she leave, but Sarah is just as determined to stay...by his side and in his bed!

7th May 2015: Love Me Tender by Anne Bennett - Out Now!

This is it folks! Publication Day...

Love Me Tender was written originally 16 years ago and tells of a family in Birmingham (though it could be any city in the UK) fractured by WW2. It is a story of love and loss and the indomitable spirit of the British people.

While Kathy works in the munitions she copes day to day with deprivations and shortages and frets about her children evacuated and her husband away fighting. Then into her mundane and stressful life, comes an American: tall, handsome and not yet war weary, and she finds herself attracted to him. She resists temptation to be alone with him until one fateful night. As he joins in the D Day invasion, her husband is posted missing presumed dead.

When the devastating war eventually ends they have all been apart so long and with so many different things happening in their lives, Kathy wonders if they will ever gel together as a family again.
